On November 2, 2014, Franklin Borders Jr., a 41-year-old resident of Oak Hill, West Virginia, lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred at a residence located on Broadway Avenue in Oak Hill.

According to the reports, Franklin Borders Jr. was shot twice, and despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at Plateau Medical Center.
