On December 2, 2014, a fatal incident occurred in Nicholas County, West Virginia, resulting in the death of Jerry Dale Harlow, a 48-year-old resident of Richwood. The incident took place along Grassy Creek Road in Leivasy, where an altercation between Harlow and another individual turned deadly.
