On July 15, 2015, Brian Jason DeBoard, a 33-year-old resident of Indore, West Virginia, was fatally shot during a dispute at his residence. DeBoard, who was a supervisor at the Mount Olive Correctional Complex, lived with his cousin, Zachary Daniels, at the time of the incident.

The altercation that led to DeBoard's death occurred in the evening when Daniels allegedly pulled a 9mm semi-automatic handgun on DeBoard. The dispute escalated, resulting in Daniels shooting DeBoard, who suffered ...
