In the rural landscape of Wyoming County, West Virginia, the life of Michael Douglas Kennedy, a 40-year-old Caucasian male, was cut short on the afternoon of July 15, 2020. Authorities were initially called to the Turkey Dip area near Oceana around 2:30 p.m. for a reported disturbance. The situation, however, had escalated to gunfire by the time deputies arrived.
