Anthony Lee Hizer, a 36-year-old White / Caucasian male from Madison, West Virginia, died in the early morning hours of March 18, 2022, after a shooting in the Boone County community of Uneeda. What began as an altercation just after 2:00 a.m. turned fatal when authorities said Hizer was shot during the confrontation. The shooting happened around 2:10 a.m., and West Virginia State Police quickly treated the case as a homicide.
