Lyle Marpole, a 66-year-old White / Caucasian male, died on May 3, 2022, after a shooting inside a home in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The violence unfolded at a residence on Landfill Drive in Berkeley County, where Marpole and another man, 60-year-old Thomas Cox, were reported to have been living together. What began as a verbal dispute inside the home escalated into a deadly confrontation, ending with Marpole suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
