On what began as a seemingly ordinary day, May 28, 2007, the life of 29-year-old Michael Shane Hill, a White male from Boone, Iowa, came to a tragic and violent end on the sheep farm near Ogden where he worked. In a desperate call to 911 at approximately 11:10 AM, an audibly injured Hill reported that he had accidentally shot himself.
