In the quiet town of Ames, Iowa, the life of Harland Jesse Cummings, a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male, came to a sudden and tragic end on October 21, 2016. Known to his friends and family as Jesse, he was a husband and a father of two who owned his own construction business. Early that Friday morning, around 6 a.m., authorities were called to his home at 206 West Date Court, where they found him with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
