On the evening of January 18, 2025, a fatal shooting in an apartment on South Fifth Street in Ames, Iowa, resulted in the death of 25-year-old Parker Stoneburner, a Caucasian male from Boone. Ames police officers responded to an emergency call around 6:30 p.m. and discovered Stoneburner with a gunshot wound.
