In the late hours of a summer night in Davenport, Iowa, the life of Pierre H. Davis, a 25-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On August 5, 2017, in the 100 block of West 3rd Street, Davis was shot and then brutally run over by a vehicle, a sequence of events that left a community in shock and a family in mourning.
