In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 2, 2015, a dispute in Davenport, Iowa, turned fatal for 28-year-old Gerald Housey, a Black male. The incident unfolded around 6:25 a.m. in the vicinity of 4th and Marquette streets. Following a disturbance, Housey was attempting to leave the area when a man opened fire.
