On April 23, 2022, a tragic incident occurred in Des Moines, Iowa, resulting in the death of 53-year-old Patrick Burton. Burton, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was found shot in the parking lot of the Americana hotel located at 1920 Hackley Avenue, near the Des Moines airport. The incident took place around 8:30 PM, and despite immediate medical attention, Burton succumbed to his injuries and later died at the hospital.
