Tetyana Leonidovna "Tanya" Nikitina, a 34-year-old woman from Salt Lake City, Utah, was tragically shot to death on January 29, 2010. The incident occurred as she was preparing to leave the Salt Lake Community Action Program, a preschool where she was a teacher.

The suspect in this case is Mary Nance Hanson, who was identified as Nikitina's former mother-in-law. Hanson was accused of firing multiple shots into Nikitina's car, resulting in Nikitina being shot four times in the head.
