In the quiet of a West Valley City morning on August 17, 2015, a teenage boy awoke to a chilling discovery that would forever alter his life. A note, slipped under his bedroom door in his father's handwriting, held a simple, terrifying instruction: "Call 911." A short time later, the boy would find his parents, 51-year-old Monica Tapia and her husband Francisco Javier Tapia, also 51, deceased in their locked bedroom.
