A woman is found murdered in her home
Jean Muir, a 79-year-old woman from Salt Lake City, was found murdered in her home on December 26, 1985. She had spoken with her sister earlier that day to make plans for a trip to Utah County. When her sister arrived around 1:00 PM to pick her up, she discovered Jean's body inside the home. Jean had been killed by stabbing, and her car was missing from the driveway.
