Carolyn Kingston, a 30-year-old mother of two, was tragically murdered on September 2, 1971, while working as a clerk at Nattier's Market in Salt Lake City, Utah. The robbery-turned-homicide took place in the afternoon when an armed gunman entered the store. Kingston was at the market with her two children when the assailant, after potentially struggling with her, shot both her and a deliveryman named Michael Bown.
