On the afternoon of September 2, 1971, a 30-year-old Caucasian female named Carolyn Yvonne Kingston was at her job as a clerk at Natter's Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her two small children present in the store. An armed man entered the market, located at 3065 S. 700 E., with the intention of robbing it.
