On a Monday morning in West Jordan, Utah, the life of 17-year-old Jacob Jeremy Hansen was tragically cut short. On October 4, 2021, the White male teenager was shot at his own home and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The incident unfolded around 10:25 a.m. in the vicinity of 3500 West and 8500 South, prompting a swift response from the West Jordan Police Department.
