On the evening of December 1, 2010, Waqas Rehman, a 42-year-old male, was working at his store, The Smoker's Shop, on Barbour Street in Hartford, Connecticut. In a sudden and violent turn of events, he was kidnapped from his business. A witness later reported hearing a confrontation where an assailant demanded money from Rehman and forced him into a car. This abduction set off a sequence of events that would end in tragedy and leave a case unsolved for over a decade.
