On a tragic day in Hartford, Connecticut, the life of 17-year-old Heriberto "Pote" Carrasquillo, a young Hispanic male, was cut short. On March 13, 2006, Heriberto, a student at Weaver High School, became a victim of gun violence. Born in Hartford on December 8, 1988, to Nancy Diaz and the late Heriberto Sr., he was a familiar face in his community and a student within the Hartford Public School System.
