On the night of January 17, 2014, in Waterbury, Connecticut, a dispute involving the two sons of Kareem Morey, a 38-year-old male, set in motion a tragic chain of events. An initial altercation occurred between Morey's sons, aged 19 and 21, and another group of men at an apartment building on Chestnut Avenue.
