Death by Force

In the early hours of March 7, 2015, the community of New London, Connecticut, was disturbed by the sound of multiple gunshots. Responding to the reports at approximately 2:15 a.m., police discovered 31-year-old Floyd Fooks Jr., a Black male, in a basement apartment on Spring Street suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m. This tragic event marked the first homicide in New London in over a year.
