Avery Valentin Rivera, a 20-year-old Hispanic male from Ledyard, Connecticut, was fatally shot in New London on the evening of March 18, 2025. The shooting occurred around 6:18 p.m. in the vicinity of 22 Moore Avenue. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Rivera with gunshot wounds to his torso. First responders administered medical aid before he was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead. Authorities have stated that the shootin ...
