In the early hours of September 2, 2018, the life of 28-year-old Hispanic/Latino male Matthew Diaz was tragically cut short in Waterbury, Connecticut. At approximately 3:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting near 91 Berkeley Avenue, in the area of the Berkeley Heights housing complex. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Diaz suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
