In the late hours of a summer evening in New Haven, Connecticut, the life of Troy Clark, a 46-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 12, 2019, near the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Henry Street, Clark was fatally shot. The incident also led to the shooting of an off-duty police captain who witnessed the event and attempted to intervene.
