Murdered

On August 17, 2014, 58-year-old Daryl McNair was fatally struck by a stray bullet inside his New Haven, Connecticut, home. At approximately 1:50 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire near Valley and Strong Streets. Shortly after, a woman called 911, stating that her husband had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found McNair in his basement office, where he had been playing solitaire on his computer. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
