On the evening of December 10, 2020, Marc Glover, a 46-year-old Black male from New Britain, Connecticut, was fatally shot in Hartford. The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near Hollywood Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene after a ShotSpotter activation and discovered Glover unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Known affectionately as "Sharp Marc," Glover was a
well-regarded figure in his community, a nickname earned from his exceptional barbering skills and sharp sense of style. He was a dedicated employee at Hartford Hospital's laundry services and had previously been a supervisor at UPS. Glover was also a member of the Fearless Joker's Biker Club and an enthusiastic fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Friends and family remember him for his infectious smile, vibrant personality, and his deep love for his two children, a daughter and a son.
The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division is actively investigating the homicide. However, there have been no arrests made in connection with Marc Glover's death, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
