On August 4, 2021, Hartford police responded to reports of gunfire at 69 Blue Hills Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old resident Zayon Collier deceased in his apartment from apparent gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the shooting occurred around 12:41 a.m., based on ShotSpotter alerts, though initial searches at that time did not reveal any evidence.
