On September 21, 2016, 28-year-old African American male Donald Carter Brunson was fatally shot in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood. The incident occurred near the Halsted Bowl bowling alley, located at 12345 S. Halsted Street. Brunson was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
