In the late summer of 1904, a sense of duty called upon City Marshal William Wesley Rainbolt, a 48-year-old lawman serving the community of Forrest City, Arkansas. On Saturday, August 20th, a report of a man brandishing a pistol set in motion a chain of events that would end in tragedy.
