On October 15, 2009, 20-year-old Tyrina Cornwell was found deceased in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She had been shot and beaten, leading to her death.

Tyrina was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and worked as an Assistant Manager at a Subway restaurant on Southwest Drive.
