In the late spring of 2015, the life of Brian Kyle Gipson, a 29-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Jonesboro, Arkansas. On the evening of Saturday, May 23, 2015, Gipson was found on Curtview Street, having been fatally shot. The circumstances surrounding his death prompted an immediate investigation by the Jonesboro Police Department, who classified the case as a homicide.
In the days and weeks that followed, family and friends mourned the loss of a man they described as having a big heart and a goofy personality, someone who was always smiling and making others laugh.
As the investigation continued, details about what transpired that night remained elusive to the public. The case grew cold, leaving a void in the community and a family desperate for answers. In an effort to generate new leads, in December of 2016, a $5,000 reward was offered for any information that would lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Gipson's murder. The reward was made possible by a contribution from the Estate of Clifford Toney to Crime Stoppers of Jonesboro.
Despite the passage of time and the offer of a reward, there have been no publicly announced arrests or identification of any suspects in the murder of Brian Kyle Gipson. The case remains an open and active investigation, with law enforcement continuing to seek information from the public. The community holds out hope that one day justice will be served for Gipson and his grieving family.
