In the crisp evening air of Phoenix on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, a fatal encounter unfolded. At approximately 9:45 p.m., in the area of 3550 East Monte Vista Road, a man named Kipp Gray approached a vehicle that had come to a stop. Inside the car were two Hispanic males.
As Mr. Gray neared the vehicle, the interaction took a violent turn. One of the occupants produced a firearm and shot him. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
Immediately after the shot was fired, the vehicle sped away from the scene, leaving Mr. Gray mortally wounded. The two individuals in the car are considered suspects in the homicide.
