On December 29, 2016, Michael Joseph Allegrini, a 30-year-old resident of Taylor, Arkansas, was fatally shot in McNeil, Arkansas. Born on March 17, 1986, in Bossier City, Louisiana, Michael was employed by 3-D Contracting Company. He was known for his love of spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Emily Nicole Allegrini, and for his passion for working on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Skyler Marie Young; his parents, Joseph and Barbara Allegrini; and his aunt, Dianne Martin. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sherri and Jody Duke; his brother, Chris 'Bubba' Allegrini; his sisters, Tricia Walker and Pam Bright; his soulmate, Hope Michael Fogo; and several other family members and friends.
Following Michael's death, authorities arrested Michael Austin Vaughn, who was charged with capital murder in connection with the incident. Vaughn was held without bond, and the case drew significant attention due to the severity of the charges.
Michael's funeral services were held on January 5, 2017, at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas, with interment following at Forest Grove Cemetery. The community mourned his loss, and his family and friends remembered him for his love of family, his passion for motorcycles, and his dedication to his work.
