In the early morning hours of February 2, 2017, the small town of Fouke, Arkansas, was shaken by a tragedy that would leave a lasting mark on the community. Christa Shockley, a 21-year-old white female, was working her shift as a clerk at the local EZ Mart on U.S. Highway 71. A graduate of Genoa Central High School, she was known as a beautiful person who cared deeply for others, also working as a child care assistant at a church in nearby Texarkana, Texas.
