On May 29, 2017, 28-year-old Richard Wilkins Jr. was fatally shot in Williams Park, located in Blytheville, Arkansas. Witnesses reported that prior to the shooting, an altercation occurred between Wilkins and three individuals. Following the incident, Wilkins was transported by private vehicle to Great River Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
