On October 15, 2022, Kenneth Edward Fitzgerald Reed Jr., a 30-year-old factory worker from Blytheville, Arkansas, was fatally shot at the intersection of Cherry Street and Ruddle Road in Blytheville. Officers responding to a shots-fired call discovered Reed deceased at the scene. Investigations revealed that Reed was the brother-in-law of 20-year-old Harliyah Walker.
