In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Little Rock, Arkansas, the life of 34-year-old Tartinisha Rainey was tragically cut short. Just after midnight on March 13, 2018, Rainey was the victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred at 900 W. 26th St. The violent encounter also left another individual, James Jackson, injured, though he ultimately survived the ordeal.
Rainey, a resident of North Little Rock, was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation into the shooting moved forward, and within a month, the Little Rock Police Department announced significant progress in the case. On the evening of April 4, 2018, authorities made their first arrest, taking 17-year-old Kingsly Jwanyeh Truver Doshier of Little Rock into custody. He was formally charged with capital murder for his role in the fatal shooting. Despite his age, it was determined that Doshier would face the charges as an adult.
The case continued to unfold as police identified two additional suspects believed to be involved in the drive-by shooting that claimed Rainey's life. Warrants were subsequently issued for 18-year-old Yuhanna Sherrod Clinkscale and 20-year-old Patrick Johnson, both of Little Rock. At the time the warrants were issued, Clinkscale and Johnson were already incarcerated at the Pulaski County Jail on unrelated felony charges. Like Doshier, they faced charges of capital murder in connection with the death of Tartinisha Rainey.
