On a warm August evening in El Dorado, Arkansas, the life of 17-year-old Octavious 'Tay' Critton Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 11, 2019, just days after his seventeenth birthday and on the cusp of his senior year at El Dorado High School, Critton was found near a residence on California Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
