On a tragic evening in El Dorado, Arkansas, the life of 27-year-old Jaylen Robinson was cut short in a horrifying sequence of events. On August 13, 2024, Robinson, a Black male, and his companion, 21-year-old Kinley Hansen, were riding a motorcycle on Marrable Hill, just west of the U.S. 167 overpass bridge. What began as a ride turned into a targeted attack when a vehicle intentionally crashed into their motorcycle, sending them onto the pavement.
Following the deliberate collision, the
occupants of the vehicle opened fire on Robinson and Hansen. When emergency services arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., they found both individuals lying in the street with injuries from the crash and multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, both Jaylen Robinson and Kinley Hansen succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead.
Investigators with the El Dorado Police Department quickly determined that the incident was not an accident but a deliberate act of violence. Evidence, including multiple shell casings, was recovered from the scene. While the police have identified at least one person of interest in the double homicide, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover the motive behind the brutal attack and bring those responsible to justice. The community has been left to mourn the loss of two young lives taken in such a senseless manner.
