On the morning of June 3, 2020, in Russellville, Arkansas, the life of 36-year-old Adam Stogner, a Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter. Police were called to a residence on East Main Street shortly after 3 a.m. regarding a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene with two deceased men, both having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
Further investigation by the Russellville Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division revealed the
incident to be a murder-suicide. Adam Stogner was identified as the victim of the shooting. The individual responsible for his death was identified as Christopher Bracking. Authorities determined that Bracking had shot Stogner and another woman at the residence before taking his own life.
The female victim, whose name was not publicly released, was found critically injured but alive. She was transported by Pope County EMS to a local hospital for treatment and was expected to recover from her injuries. As the sole suspect in Adam Stogner's murder died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, no arrests were made in the case. The investigation concluded that Bracking acted alone in the violent attack that ended two lives and left another individual seriously wounded.
