Jack Thomas Poole, a 19-year-old student at Arkansas Tech University (ATU), passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was a resident of Hattieville, Arkansas, and was born on January 31, 2005, to Jason and Kris Poole.

The incident occurred at an off-campus residence in Russellville, where Poole sustained fatal injuries from a gunshot wound. According to the authorities, the shooting is believed to have been accidental.
