In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, a burst of violence shattered the quiet, leaving one man dead and another injured. On September 24, 2020, police were called to a residence near 21st and South Main streets, where they discovered a grim scene. Inside a home at 2015 S. Louisiana Street, 40-year-old Cortney Mays, a Black male, had been fatally shot.
