On January 8, 2022, 21-year-old Jadon Shackelford was fatally shot at Meriwether Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. According to his family, a "friend" picked him up from their home while they were sleeping and took him to the park, located not far away. Shortly thereafter, neighbors reported hearing gunshots, and the same individual transported Shackelford to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
