In the early morning hours of New Year's Day, 2022, a grim discovery was made on a dirt road in Roland, Arkansas. Authorities responded to a vehicle fire near the 14000 block of Highway 300 around 6:00 a.m. After extinguishing the blaze, investigators found the body of 24-year-old Jeremiah Brown of Little Rock in the trunk of the car.
An autopsy later determined that Brown had died from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and torso. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office immediately began investigating his death as a homicide. Investigators believe that Brown was killed at another location before his body was placed in the vehicle, driven to the remote dirt road, and set on fire.
