Ronald Allen, aged 73, was fatally shot on December 2, 2016, while driving in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. Allen was a respected community leader from Naperville and was returning from a card game with friends when he was targeted in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of North Laramie, and Allen was driving his black Mercedes when multiple gunshots struck his vehicle, resulting in his death.
