In the quiet evening hours in Helena, Arkansas, a sudden burst of violence shattered the peace on Cherry Street. On a Friday night, 50-year-old Cornelius Borum, a male resident, was on the front porch of a home in the 1000 block of the street when he was struck by gunfire. The incident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., left him with a gunshot wound to the back.
