In the early morning hours of April 10, 2022, the life of 24-year-old Bernard McCarthur Jr. was tragically cut short in Hope, Arkansas. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at Northside Park at approximately 4 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered McCarthur lying in the parking lot near the park's entrance with an apparent gunshot wound.
