In the summer of 2022, the life of Thomas Michael Porter, a 62-year-old male, was brought to a tragic and violent end in Osceola, Arkansas. On July 7th, authorities discovered his body at the Days Inn, a discovery that would unravel a story of domestic violence culminating in his death by gunshot.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding Porter's death was swiftly launched by the Osceola Police Department.
The meticulous and determined efforts of law enforcement soon pointed towards a primary suspect, Thomas's own spouse, Denton Porter. The investigation led to Denton's arrest in connection with the murder of her husband.
Following her arrest, Denton Porter faced legal proceedings for the death of Thomas. After initially pleading not guilty, she later changed her plea to guilty on January 29, 2024. As a result of her guilty plea, Denton Porter was sentenced to 30 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction for the murder of her spouse, bringing a close to the nearly 18-month-long investigation and legal battle.
