On a tragic day in October of 2022, the city of Conway, Arkansas, was shaken by a series of violent events that left three people dead, including 29-year-old Aaron Wright. The chaos began on the afternoon of October 7th, when police received calls about multiple shootings at different locations.
The first report came in just before 5 p.m. from Salem Road and Highway 64. Shortly after, another call directed officers to Newcastle Drive, and a third came in around 5:11 p.m. from Donaghey Avenue, near the University of Central Arkansas. At this third location, authorities discovered the body of Aaron Wright.
As the investigation unfolded, it became clear that the shootings were not random acts of violence. Conway police indicated that the attacks were targeted and that the suspect knew his victims. In addition to Aaron Wright, the other deceased victims were identified as 48-year-old Kori Bartholomew and 25-year-old Drew Thomason.
An intense manhunt for the suspect, 32-year-old Princemichael Ajetunmobi, ensued, involving local, state, and federal agencies. Later that evening, Arkansas State Police located Ajetunmobi, and a vehicle pursuit began. After the chase ended, Ajetunmobi fled his vehicle and fired at officers before disappearing into a wooded area. A short time later, he was found in a nearby field with what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. It was reported that Ajetunmobi shared a child with one of the victims.
