In the early morning hours of June 1, 1998, a sense of loss befell a family in Omaha, Nebraska. Antonio S. Taliaferro, a 17-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. at 5310 South 30th Street. When Omaha Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple individuals with gunshot wounds. Antonio was among them and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
